Do we know Christmas trees? This is our 50th year of growing Oregon's finest Christmas trees.
It was in November of 1958 that Dad (Mike Stone), began a career that has grown and developed into a family business known as B.T.N. (Best in the nation, or for the Stone sons, Ben, Tyler & Nathan).
As Dad spent years involved in tree research and refining techniques of planting, growing and harvesting, we his sons were learning the trades literally form the ground up.
As children, Ben, Tyler & Nathan spent many summers cutting handles with Mom (Marea), before long we were shearing harvesting responsibilities, and leading our own crews. Through the years, Dad has been passing along his knowledge of the production to us. Many times Dad has been called to give expert wetness to testifying at court cases involving tree farming. All three of us are involved in every area of the business.
Ben followed an early interest in cloning attending collage and receiving a degree in Horticulture from Oregon State University.
Today our family business includes growing our own trees as well as contracting work for others. We do custom planting, shearing, weed control & harvesting.
